All directors, officers, and employees of First Security State Bank will abide by these principles in all settings, both public and private.  We view this subject as particularly important to our consumers and consumer/customers and our bank.  Our staff has been directed to immediately report any breach to this policy as well as all other policies.  All have been informed that any breach of this policy will initiate immediate disciplinary action up to and including termination.

We understand that you expect that the information about you that you have entrusted to us will be handled with great care.  We value your trust and understand that keeping your information secure is one of our most important responsibilities.  For that reason, you should be confident that we do not sell or share your confidential information with any company for the purposes of that company marketing their products to you.  We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our consumers and consumer/customers or former consumers and consumer/customers to anyone, except as permitted or required by law.

One of the ways we protect your information is by limiting our staff’s access to information about you to those with a business reason to know your information.  In addition, we train our management and staff about the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of consumer/customer information.  All are taught that they should never discuss or disclose confidential consumer/customer information inside or outside of First Security State Bank unless required to transact proper bank business.  We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with state and federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

The Data Security Officer, as approved by the Board of Directors, is responsible for the day-to-day compliance with this policy.  This Officer will be responsible for providing management and staff with privacy training on at least an annual basis.  Periodically, but no less frequently than on an annual basis, this Officer will test and verify that the privacy principles in this policy are being complied with by management and staff.  We will continue to update and test our security systems and procedures so that your information is kept confidential.

We collect and retain information about you only when we reasonably believe that the information will assist us in our business and in providing products, services and other opportunities to our consumers and consumer/customers.   • Information we receive from you on applications, other forms or documentation provided by you;
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others;
