Make the Switch to First Security State Bank

At First Security State Bank, we understand that changing banks can be a big hassle.  We hope to make your transition as smooth and effortless as possible.  To that end, we want to assist you in switching any automated deposits or withdrawals you may have set up with your current financial institution.  To help you gather the necessary information to facilitate a quick change over use our Pre-Transfer Worksheet.

First, a few quick definitions:

Automated Clearing House (ACH) Debit- Any type of debit (typically monthly bills) that is automatically taken from your checking account.

Automated Clearing House (ACH) Credit- Any type of credit (typically paychecks, referred to as Direct Deposit) that is automatically credited to your checking account.

Follow the steps below to make the easy switch to First Security State Bank.

	Open your new First Security State Bank checking account Whatever your checking account needs may be, we have an account type that will work for you .  Take a look at our different checking account types here.
	Switch your ACH debits to your new account Once your First Security State Bank account has been opened, you can begin the process of switching your ACH debits to your new account.  If you do business with a company that does not have the ability setup your ACH online, you can download our Automatic Transfer Authorization (ACH Debit) Form.  Simply fill in your information and mail it to them.
	Switch your ACH credits to your new account Of course, you will want to make sure that your ACH Credits (payroll, Social Security, dividends, etc) are switched to your new account.  You can download our Direct Deposit (ACH Credit) Authorization Form, fill in your information and, if applicable, present it to your employer.  Likewise, present the form to anyone else who is providing you with a recurring credit.  If you are receiving Social Security Deposits from the US Treasury, you need to call the Social Security Administration or go to www.ssa.gov to change your direct deposit.
